At Aquael, we believe that sustainability in our industry is achievable and necessary. As the worldwide need and customers demand for greener products and businesses grow stronger and louder, we made sustainability a strategic goal.

We focus on a continuously improved manufacturing process and concrete actions to reduce our carbon footprint, simultaneously and consistently delivering outstanding quality and customer service to our clients. We are committed to push our limits and hold ourselves to the highest standards, to pave the way and lead by example, to be – and become, every day a little more – a sustainability leader in the Shower Enclosure Industry. ISO 14001, certified in 2022
When we talk about sustainability and ecological process in the manufacturing world, the ISO 14001 norm is the first step a serious organization must take. We are proud to inform you that Aquael has achieved the ISO 14001 certification in the beginning of 2022. As stated by the International Organization for Standardization: ISO 14001:2015 specifies the requirements for an environmental management system that an organization can use to enhance its environmental performance. It is intended for use by an organization seeking to manage its environmental responsibilities in a systematic manner that contributes to the environmental pillar of sustainability.

More eco-frendly packaging solutions, ongoing since 2022
Since 2022, we are developing sustainable packaging solutions. Not only do we work to replace unsustainable components, such as polystyrene and single-use plastic, with more eco-friendly material; we also aim to use less, and more consciously. This contributes to our smaller carbon footprint by inherently creating less waste – and notably less unsustainable waste – but also by following our logistic chain, having an eco-friendly impact at each level. We now use these solutions for every new product development, and our goal is to use them for 100% of our products by 2025. These sustainable packaging solutions, designed by Aquael, have fulfilled all tests and certifications to ensure the highest quality standards at every level.

Suppliers audit and training, ongoing since 2012
To obtain changes on a wide scope, one must be an actor of change. At Aquael, we do not limit ourselves to intraorganizational improvements. We consistently audit our suppliers, share our knowledge and best practices, and form them for more sustainable processes and quality management systems. This initiative has notably contributed to lower their defective rate, and to reduce their use of packing materials and quantity of overall waste.

Fundraising campaign following the Lushan / Ya'an earthquake, 2013

The Lushan / Ya’an earthquake (April 20th, 2013) killed 5 and injured 17 people, destroyed 55,500 residential units and forced more than 9,000 residents to relocate.
Following this tragedy, Aquael launched a Fundraising and Goods Donation Campaign to help the ones left injured and homeless, and the community get back on its feet.

Sponsorship program for sick and orphaned children in Aquael's local community, ongoing since 2016

Aquael firmly believes that every child should live a safe and need-free childhood giving them an equal opportunity to grow into accomplished and fulfilled adults and members of their community. Aquael has set up a sponsorship program for children in need which, year after year, helps to finance and ensure their safety and meet their basic needs.

Bi-annual group events for blood donation with the Red Cross, ongoing since 2012

Every 6 months, Aquael employees collaborate with the Red Cross to organize group events for blood donation to support their local healthcare system and those who
are ill and in need of it.

Annual food donation to elderly people in need, ongoing since 2016

Every year, Aquael organizes a food donation in its local village for ederly people in need.
